Manuel Uribe, who weighs 550 kg flesh on his skeleton, is planning to travel from Mexico to Italy. He will go through a life saving operation to reduce the weight in Italy. He weighs as much as 5 baby elephants! He is on bed for the last five years and can’t stand on his own.



A special flight will be necessary to take him to a surgical team in Modena (Italy). They will carry out an intestinal bypass and they are doing it without any charge.



Giancarlo De Bernardinis, a doctor, visited Mexico with a medical team to examine him in March. The cholesterol and blood-sugar levels are normal despite his extreme obesity.
