Men’s Obesity rate rising high in China!

About obesity, we find most of the women to be affected with it than to men. But exceptionally, obesity among Chinese men found to be rising at a high rate. Among men obesity hikes up to 1.3 percentage point and students to 1.0 percentage point than to women which remained constant. Possible causes found behind it were alterations in traditional diet, limited physical activity and raised sedentary lifestyles. Further, students skip regular exercise due to unavailability of time. However, the composite index of national physical fitness rises to 0.75 percent, pointing males to physically fit, mostly in urban areas than to rural. Thus, schools need to extend Physical Education (PE) classes by providing the students enough time for physical practices. Along with it, people should acquire nutrition rich diet including fruits and vegetables rather to junk food.

 

Students revoking healthy menus of cafeterias!

Childhood obesity needs a consideration. Efforts are being made in this regard, reducing high-fat and sugar-rich food amongst children. The provincial government of Newfoundland and Labrador has initiated steps towards curbing obesity amongst school children, by introducing compulsory guidelines for cafeterias of schools. These guidelines suggested cafeterias to provide students nutrition-rich diet every day and fat-rich food once a week. But these guidelines found not to be working successfully as students are so habitual of the fatty-food that they run to fulfill their hunger even from fast food outlets. Moreover, the sale of cafeteria also get down by 25 percent. Now, what can be the better solution making children to take nutritious diet? I think it may take time. Further, parents need not provide huge amount of pocket-money to children for buying junk food. Schools also need to make strict rules not to let out children outside school compound without any urgent purpose.

Obesity rate doubled in Malaysia!

Obesity is spreading its tentacles around the world, and Malaysia too is witnessing its horrondous attack. The number of obese people in Malaysia are found to be doubled, which rose to 54 percent of its present population. Possible reasons found by the experts are sedentary lifestyles, overeating and people’s liking for fast food and carbonated drinks, which added to the growth of obesity at a fast rate and is responsible for deaths caused by the diseases like heart attacks, cancer, diabetes, and hypertension. The study stresses the need of some kind of efforts and strict actions to be taken by the government of Malaysia in making people aware and conscious regarding the terrible effects of obesity creating serious problems affecting people’s health to a great extent.

The researchers at MC Gill University Health Center in Montreal have come up with a new research revealing that a kind of protein known as C5L2 can be a major cause to turn you out an obese. Dr. Katherine Cianflone in a news release averred: We have identified a receptor protein on fat cells that, when stimulated, may increase the amount of lipid stored in fat reservoirs. This protein, C5L2, made by fat tissue, is on the surface of fat cells and binds a specific hormone to increase fat production.
