‘All work and no play make jack a dull boy.’ Once again, this fact has been backed up by a new study, which found out that regular exercise or physical activities can be very effective in shedding off the extra flab of the kids. In addition, it also makes kids’ arteries healthier.
Hardening of the arteries also known as atherosclerosis starts in the earlier age, especially in obese children but if they indulge in outdoor games then they may avert such situation. In the words of Dr. Andreas Alexander Meyer, a pediatrician and pediatric cardiologist at the University of Rostock Children’s Hospital in Germany:
Regular exercise is one of the most important activities we can do on our own to reduce the risk and reverse the early development of atherosclerosis.
I personally believe that parents as well as school authorities should pay heed not only to children’s mental health but to their physical health too and they can do that by encouraging children to participate in outdoor games.
