Be aware of fake anti-obesity drugs in the market. Fake versions of an anti-obesity drug are being touted on the Internet even though European Union has not approved it for sale. The European Commission warned consumers on this on Monday.
The drug is named rimonabant. It an experimental drug from Sanofi-Aventis and is still being tested by the European Medicines Evaluation Agency. But, they are being sold on several websites under the proposed brand name of Acomplia, informed the EU executive.
