Everybody quest to achieve beautiful skin , slim hips , perfectly shaped arms, tight and toned abdomen, firm buttocks to look attractive and young. Being overweight is simply the result of taking in more calories than what are burned. People opt for so many ways to get rid of obesity. In the market there are so many weight loss programs, weight reduction products and gizmos lure people with the promise of a slim and attractive body within a few days. But most of them are not successful.
In the hypnosis program for controlling weight one’s subconscious mind is retrofitted with much more uplifting, self- alarming suggestions that change negative emotion/ feeling to positive. It can be describe as a state of deep day-dream. Method to reduce weight through it is given below:
Progressive relaxation: Relax the body from head to toe. This should be done in quite place with no electronic disturbance, not even background music. Starting from forehead then eyes, nose, lips....goes up to the toe. Breathing is rhythmic and slow. This state is quite enjoyable to those who lead generally hectic busy lives.
Deep relaxation: It is the next step of the hypnosis as it provides the entry point into one’s inner reality. The person engrossed in the imagination and dissociated from the surrounding becomes more suggestible. Mind dose not have any thoughts. In this state the person is more focused. Take time to contact to with the inner world in one’s mind and lets go all of outside thoughts.
Suggesting Oneself: This is the perfect time to give oneself the ideas he/she wants.
The person in deep hypnotic state can silently repeat several messages, ‘I am thin person. I eat healthy food. When I feel tense, I turn to healthy positive ideas/thoughts.’
These behavioral suggestions give direct instructions as in what to feel or what to do. Through all things happens within one’s mind but it can call these ideas/ suggestions because one will hear them spoken to his/ her. One may specify the list of foods to avoid, even speak the timings of the meals.
Returning to conscious state: After making fruitful suggestions for oneself it is time to wind down the hypnosis and return to ordinary thinking. When one understands what is causing him to gain weight can help it to resolve on its own.
It is clear that opinion will make one feel something: good, bad, happy, sad, anxious etc. Hypnosis is suburb tool to change those ‘learned’ opinion, cemented during the course of one’s life. In conscious state of mind it is very hard to alter these opinions.
Hypnosis helps to inculcate new ideas presented by life experience that is what one’s wants in his/her life. It can never enforce to accept something one truly does not want.
