Exercise

Obese people, sometimes have a different physical quality. Their skeletal muscles usually have the nature to accumulate fat.

According to Deborah Muoio, of the Sarah W. Stedman Nutrition and Metabolism Center at Duke University Medical Center, the muscle has a metabolic tendency to attract fats and cause obesity.

It is hard to loose weight for obese people even if they consume fewer calories. The Cell Metabolism says that exercise may overcome this muscle trend. Exercise may help to loose extra fats from the obese people.

The muscles of obese people contain the three times more fat-consuming enzyme stearoyl-CoA desaturase-1 (SCD-1) than the muscle of lean people.

The researchers have found that SCD-1 is an important contributor to lipid movement in the muscles and the weight gain process. They are now looking to find out whether physical activities may reverse the level of SCD-1 or not.
