The American Medical Association, the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and others health institutes have established a committee for childhood obesity. There are so many suggestions on which the commitee are concentrating such as the review of terminology for children obesity.
The CDC does not entitle children as obese in any case. The kids, who are overweight, are called as ‘at risk of overweight’ by the CDC. The ‘at risk of overweight’ children enjoy the body-mass index in the 85th to 94th percentile for their gender and age.
That shows that they are heavier than 85 percent to 94 percent of children of same age and sex. Further, the CDC explains ‘overweight’ heavier than ninety-five percent of the same age and gender kids may be called as ‘obese’. The expected changes are the clarity of terminology for obese kids as it is for adults.
