Figures provided by International Association of Agricultural Economist’s conference held in Australia shows that one billion people in the world are suffering from obesity and their number will shortly increase to 800 million.
The possible causes of obesity are genetic disposition, diet and physical activity. Researchers stress two main factors responsible for overweight:
1. Diet including high calorie consumption such as junk foods.
2. Lifestyle including sedentary activities such as browsing internet, playing video games, watching TV.
Beside these factors, MSG (monosodium glutamate) a food additive used by food industry also a key factor which increases appetite resulting in obesity.
Tips to reduce obesity:
• Take nutritionally balanced as well as low calorie diet.
• Do more physical activities.
• Opt for weight management procedures like medication and surgery.
