James Sallis, a San Diego State University psychology professor has talked about the causes of growing obesity problem throughout the US in a report. Time Magazine titled him as ‘obesity warrior’ earlier for his anti obesity movements. James Sallis says that American society and its changing new urban lifestyle is itself the biggest cause of the fastest growing obesity problems. The lack of physical movements and use of junk foods become the habitual lifestyle of people. He says further that Federal government should take some extreme steps to get rid of this problem. The government should hike the parking taxes and motorbike paths. He has proposed tax proposals to the companies promoting deskbound lifestyles such as video games and theater chains.
